Share Savings Accounts

A United Community FCU Share Savings account is an easy way to save and earn competitive dividends.

• A deposit of $5.00 is all it takes to open a Share Savings Account.
• Dividends are calculated on the average daily balance and paid quarterly.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

United Community FCU offers a wide range of IRA Accounts that will help make your retirement dreams come true.

It's never too soon to start saving for your retirement - or too late! United Community FCU is pleased to be able to offer the following IRA options:

Traditional IRA

A Traditional IRA is the foundation of most retirement plans. Traditional IRAs are simple, effective and easy-to-manage, while giving you significant tax advantages. With a Traditional IRA, you can defer taxes on earnings and tax-deductible contributions, until withdrawn and contributions may be tax-deductible for the year they are made. You can make contributions up to the maximum limit or your earned income, whichever is less.

Traditional IRAs have no set-up or maintenance fees, no minimum balance requirements and dividends are paid quarterly.

IRA Share Certificates

We also offer IRA Share Certificates with a minimum deposit of $1,000 for 6 months, or $500 minimum deposit for terms of 12, 18, 24 and 36 and 60 months.

All of our IRA products are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.

Our certificates are available with as little as $500. Terms on certificates range from 6 to 36 months. For certificates with terms of 6 months, a $1,000 minumum is required to open. For certificates with terms of 12 months and more, a $500 minumum is required to open.

Our Holiday Club Account is the perfect way to ease the expense of holiday spending. You can begin saving in your Holiday Club Account at any time during the year.

Our Vacation Club Account works pretty much the same way as our Holiday Club, the only difference is that a Vacation Club funds are available whenever you need them! You can deposit what you want, when you want or use Payroll Deduction to help you save!
